As sound frequencies can affect our moods and emotions, we may use typical musical frequencies to deepen our mind state to take us to meditative states much quicker. Binaural beats and relevant music can be utilised to slow down brainwaves and put us in deep meditation within a matter of minutes.
It is the frequency range of less than 4 Hz, typical Delta waves that are apparent in deep dreamless sleep and loss of body consciousness.

When we just can't stop the mind from racing, cannot stop moving or can't stop thinking, they are in the Beta or Gamma range, a peak state so that we can think and move and work. To experience a true meditative state we need to lower your brain waves so that we are in the Alpha, Theta or better still, the Delta ranges.
The beta and gamma brainwaves are seen to be in the range of 14-40 Hertz, while the alpha waves are typically in the 7-14 Hertz which is the pre-sleep or pre-wake drowsiness.
The theta waves patterns, typical of deep meditation and relaxation are in the range of 4 to 7 Hertz.
So, music with the right frequencies and beats can help tremendously in taking us quickly to deep meditation which could be a great help in the healing arts, as these meditative states hasten the self-healing abilities of the mind and body.
There are, of course, undisputed benefits of meditation, notably:
Deep meditative states increase serotonin formation which influence mood and behavior. Since low levels of serotonin are believed to be associated with depression, obesity, insomnia and headaches, we may have a natural remedy for these ills.
Research has also revealed that meditation reduces emotional and physical stress.
Meditation increases activity of 'natural-killer cells', which kill bacteria and cancer cells, as well as reducing the activity of viruses.
Other quite apparent benefits are of course slowing down the heart rate, lowering the blood pressure, enhancing the immune system and decreasing muscular tension.
Unfortunately, achieving the deeper state of meditation takes a lot of practice, time and patience, and it is worthwhile if the right music frequencies could induce these states of mind. Perhaps, soon enough, some innovative people with musical skill would be inspired by sound sciences to create just the right notes to put us into deep meditation at the push of a button.
If this is beginning to seem like a science fiction article, let me assure you, it is science fiction.
Deep meditative state is a pure awareness, devoid of anything, beyond the human mind, since triggered states are merely that, manifested experiences. While pure meditation is simply awareness of both the manifest and then unmanifest reality that is Brahman.
And, reality, as pure awareness, can be stranger than fiction. That is a fact.
